RNA and Chromatin
RNA and Chromatin as a Science Tag Team
It went on for years in the science world where RNA and Chromatin never really crossed paths. That has now changed, though, as the two of them are forming a science tag team that is leading a lot of going forward research.
In recent years, research by John Rinn's team and others has found that noncoding RNA is leading to the formation of a special form of chromatin domains. This is all taking place in a variety of processes.
The excitement comes in what these two things can do together. This could include the programming of DNA elimination, the silencing of genes, as well as a variety of other possibilities. All of this is still in the early stages of a full understanding, but discovery if on the horizon.
